BACKGROUND: Meet Grillo, a sweet senior gentleman with a heart full of love and a tail that still wags with excitement. This affectionate boy is the definition of a best friend—loyal, gentle, and always ready to be by your side. Grillo adores attention and will happily soak up all the pets and praise you have to offer. Cuddles are his specialty, whether it’s curling up next to you on the couch or resting his head in your lap after a long day. He’s friendly with everyone he meets and has a calm, easygoing nature that makes him a joy to be around. Don’t forget the treats—Grillo certainly won’t! He never says no to a tasty snack and will reward you with the sweetest grateful eyes (and maybe a few extra tail wags). If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will shower you with unconditional love, Grillo is ready to be your best friend.

COMPATIBILITY: Based on our evaluation, we feel that Grillo has the potential to get along with other dogs. Grillo would do best in a home without cats.

MEDICAL NEEDS: Grillo has tested positive for heartworm and is currently receiving treatment. His treatment includes a course of oral antibiotics and a series of injections, all provided and covered by MARL. We’re hoping Grillo can enter a foster-to-adopt home during this time, with all treatments scheduled through our vet at MARL. Once his treatment is complete, we can finalize his adoption.
