BACKGROUND: Guapo is on the lookout for a very special forever home. This handsome boy was very unsure of himself when he first arrived at MARL. Though his playful personality has started to shine through, he can still be very wary of new people and new places. He has made a lot of progress at MARL, and is hoping to find a patient person or family who understands his limitations. He can get uncomfortable when his boundaries are pushed, and does best with people who go slow and allow him to warm up at his own pace. Once he is comfortable, he will reward you with lots of snuggles and a wagging tail. Guapo would do best in a low-traffic household with someone who is home often to can keep his mind and body busy. He is also an active boy who loves to go for walks, play, and spend time outdoors! Do you have room in your heart and home for a dog like Guapo?

COMPATIBILITY: Based on our evaluation, we feel that Guapo has the potential to get along with other dogs. Though he can be selective with some dogs, we feel that the right canine match could really help Guapo continue to blossom! Guapo would do best in a home without cats and in a home with children over the age of 16.
