Pontiac-based Michigan Animal Rescue League is hosting its first-ever virtual fundraising event, now through Sunday, June 7.
“Yappy Week” is an online take on the shelter’s largest fundraiser of the year, Yappy Hour. The decision to cancel the in-person Yappy Hour came about this spring in response to COVID-19.
To purchase a virtual ticket, visit yappyweek.org today. A photo of each guest’s pet will be featured in the gallery.
There’s a “Ball Pit” page to watch Michigan Animal Rescue League’s adoptable pets play in their ball pit. Unlock exclusive videos, including a tour of the league’s new facility, how to make a signature “Salty Dog” cocktail, updates on past adoptions and more.
At the event, there will also be a silent auction, giveaways and a photography tutorial from Yappy Hour Red Carpet photographer Laurie Puscas.
One hundred percent of sponsorships, ticket purchases and donations directly benefit the animals in the nonprofit’s care. Michigan Animal Rescue League provides rescue, medical care, short-and long-term sanctuary and adoption for dogs and cats, as well as education and outreach.
