BACKGROUND: Meet Evie! Evie is every bit as endearing as she looks. This sweet Shar Pei mix is polite, delightful, and truly one of the nicest dogs around. It is no surprise that she has quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite! Evie has an easygoing, loving personality and is happiest simply being part of whatever you're doing. Whether you're going for a walk, relaxing at home, or spending time with family, Evie is just happy to be included. She gets along well with kids, dogs, and cats, making her a wonderful fit for many different types of homes. With her gentle manners, sweet spirit, and lovable face, Evie is the kind of dog who makes everyone feel lucky to know her. Now all she needs is a home as amazing as she is. COMPATIBILITY: Based on our evaluation, we feel that Evie has the potential to get along with other dogs and cats.

MEDICAL NEEDS: Evie has tested positive for heartworm and is currently undergoing treatment, a condition we commonly and successfully treat. It is not contagious to people or other pets. MARL covers all treatment, which includes medication and injections scheduled through our veterinary team. During this time, she would stay with you in a foster-to-adopt arrangement, and once treatment is complete, the adoption can be finalized.
