BACKGROUND: Arcadia is a young dog with a heart as big as her journey. She came to MARL in rough shape, but her spirit has remained unbroken, and she’s well on the mend. This sweet and playful girl has a friendly nature that lights up every room she’s in, though she can be a little shy at first. Once Arcadia knows you, you’re her best friend for life, and she’ll shower you with love and loyalty. She’s ready to leave her past behind and embrace a bright future in a forever home. COMPATIBILITY: Based on our evaluation, we feel that Arcadia has the potential to get along with other dogs and cats.

MEDICAL NEEDS: Arcadia arrived at MARL with Demodex mange, a non-contagious condition that causes hair loss in dogs, as well as a fractured leg. Arcadia’s leg amputation surgery must wait until her skin is fully healed, but she is on medications that keep her comfortable in the meantime. MARL will cover the cost of Arcadia’s medical care until her skin fully heals and her leg is amputated, but she deserves to receive this care in the comfort and love of a home.
