MARL ARRIVAL: Atlas was brought to MARL as a stray.
BACKGROUND: Meet Atlas! This resilient and charismatic dog might have had a rough start to life but she is ready to take it easy and enjoy the simple things in life. Found alone, skinny, scared, and covered in wounds, Atlas was brought to MARL for medical care and rehabilitation. Despite the hardships she's faced, Atlas is a chipper and social butterfly. She loves to be around people and always has something to say. She's a vocal pup, and her expressive face and playful barks will keep you entertained for hours. She would love to get a home to call her own and promises to be the best companion and friend you will ever need. Do you have room in your heart and your home for a dog like Atlas?
COMPATIBILITY: Based on our evaluation, we feel that Atlas has the potential to get along with other dogs. Atlas would do best in a home without cats and with children over the age of 12.
MEDICAL NEEDS: Atlas has tested positive for Heartworm Disease and is looking for a foster/foster to adopt home while she goes through her treatment. Heartworm Disease is not contagious to other animals or people. Atlas will need to be kept on medication that MARL will provide and brought to MARL for health checkups once a month until she has been cleared. If you have questions regarding Atlas or her treatment, please give our front desk a call at 248-335-9290.
