BACKGROUND: Meet Dodger, the charming shepherd with a heart of gold. He was brought to MARL after his owner's schedule changed and they no longer had the time for him. He was in his home since he was a puppy, so you can imagine at 4-years-old, this was a bit of an adjustment for Dodger. It took some time for Dodger to get used to his new routine at the shelter, but he has since settled in nicely. He has made great friends with our team, and has made several canine friends along the way. He was adopted out a few months ago, but was returned back to MARL because he wasn't a good fit for his prospective new family. These things happen, and Doger didn't let that bring him down. He readjusted to his schedule at the shelter, and kept his head (and ear!) held high. While he waits for his special person, Dodger continues to go for weekly outings with volunteers, enjoys plenty of walks and outdoor playtime with our staff, and can often be found napping in his kennel surrounded by his favorite toys. Dodger has been at the shelter for 354 days. Send Dodger some love - Will you be his Valentine?
