SEX: Male
BREED: Beagle
WEIGHT: 25 lbs.
MARL ARRIVAL: Shiloh was found as a stray.
BACKGROUND: Meet Shiloh, the beagle with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! This friendly little guy wants nothing more than to be your new shadow—whether you're doing chores, going for a walk, or just relaxing at home, Benny’s only request is to be included. He’s a smooth conversationalist, always eager to hear about your day (and he’ll happily bark back about his own!). With his warm personality, constant companionship, and love for everyone he meets, Shiloh is ready to be your loyal sidekick through it all. If you're looking for a best friend who's always by your side, Shiloh's your guy!
COMPATIBILITY: Based on our evaluation, we feel that Shiloh has the potential to get along with other dogs and cats.
MEDICAL NEEDS: Shiloh has tested positive for heartworm disease and is currently undergoing treatment. He would love to find a calm, loving home where he can continue his recovery with someone who intends to adopt him once his treatment is complete. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other animals, and with proper care, dogs like Shiloh can make a full recovery. His treatment plan includes a course of oral antibiotics, a series of injections that will be given at MARL by our veterinarian, and a follow-up heartworm test. The full treatment process typically takes about 1 to 3 months, depending on where the dog is in the treatment plan. MARL will cover all medical costs related to Shiloh's heartworm treatment until he has been cleared and officially adopted.
ADOPTION FEE: $250
