BACKGROUND: Meet Spriggy, a one-of-a-kind husky mix with a heart as big as her goofy grin! With her unique looks and endlessly playful personality, Spriggy is the kind of dog who turns every day into an adventure. She's never met a dog she doesn't like and is always ready to jump into a game, a walk, or just hang out by your side. Easy-going, friendly, and full of charm, Spriggy is the ultimate companion—whether you're heading out on a hike or just relaxing at home. She's ready to be your best friend in whatever life brings, and she’ll make sure you’re smiling every step of the way.

COMPATIBILITY: Based on our evaluation, we feel that Spriggy has the potential to get along with other dogs. Spriggy would do best in a home without cats.

MEDICAL NEEDS: Spriggy has tested positive for heartworm disease and is currently undergoing treatment. She would love to find a calm, loving home where she can continue her recovery with someone who intends to adopt her once her treatment is complete. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other animals, and with proper care, dogs like Spriggy can make a full recovery. Her treatment plan includes a course of oral antibiotics, a series of injections given at MARL by our veterinarian, and a follow-up heartworm test. The full treatment process typically takes about 1 to 3 months, depending on where the dog is in the treatment plan. MARL will cover all medical costs related to her heartworm treatment until she has been cleared and officially adopted.
