Thank you for your interest in the Michigan Animal Rescue League! Several changes have been made to our operations in response to COVID-19:
Currently, all adoptions, animal visits, and animal intakes are by appointment only. This means that we are not allowing walk-in visits at this time.
Office Hours
We are in the office answering phones Tuesday-Saturday between the hours of 12pm and 5pm, and can be reached at 248-335-9290. If you call outside of office hours, please leave a voicemail and our office staff will contact you within one business day. You are also welcome to email us with general inquiries at info@marl.org.
Adoptions
All of our adoptable cats and dogs can be viewed on our website. If you are interested in pursing an adoption, you must first submit an adoption application on our website. Once your application has been received, a member of our team will contact you within five business days with additional questions, to schedule an appointment, or to notify you of any changes to the animal’s availability.

Intakes
All animal intakes are by appointment only at this time. If you have an animal to surrender, please call our office at 248-335-9290 to discuss your options. Our office staff handles all animal intakes and will notify you as to whether or not we have space available at that time. In the event that we are at capacity, our office staff can provide you with additional resources and suggestions.
Location
Our facility is located on the corner of Featherstone and Martin Luther King Blvd. Our address is 790 Featherstone, Pontiac, MI 48342. If you are coming to our facility to meet with an adoptable animal or do finalize an adoption, please use our main entrance off of Martin Luther King Blvd. If you are coming to our facility to surrender an animal, pick up an animal for foster, drop off donations, or to pick up food from our community outreach program, please use our entrance off of Featherstone.
Donations
If you have donations to drop off, please use the entrance off of Featherstone. Donations can be brought to our facility any day of the week before 5pm. Please leave your donations outside of the garage doors. If you need assistance or would like a donation receipt, please ring the doorbell outside of our lobby entrance and staff member will be out to help you.
